My stay was a very pleasent experience. The hotel is of great convience to both Melbourn and Royston. The facitilites in my rooom were excellent and breakfast was very good.I would recommnd this hotel to my friends and family and will stay here again in the future.
Nice staff and good pub food with the option of a more a La Carte menu option. Bottled real ale. Rooms of a 'chalet' type which were nice, comfortable and quiet. Very good breakfast.Would stay again.
Friendly welcome and good service, very good breakfast
Road was a bit noisey, shower room could do with upgrade, Not 5 star but really good value
I liked the country feel, the modern rooms with original features. The courtyard outside is nice with the my room situated in a barn behind the main hotel.
Staff were helpful, breakfast was ok.
Room was ok but quite small for a family room (2 adults and a child). Bathroom was very basic and tiny, shower was very weak. Not worth £105 per night, shame there are no alternatives nearby.
Doors squeaked and floors creeked, so was kept awake by any movement of other guests. And walls "very thin".... I could hear people talking upstairs until the early hours.
Traffic noise hotel is along the main À505
Close to my business destination
The building does look inviting from the pictures on Booked.net website. However, when you enter the building and your room it does look tired, in need of updating and revitalising. There is a significant temperature drop between your room and the bathroom which smelt of damp (although I couldnt find any damp). The other reviews fail to remember that you get what you pay for and we didnt pay much and it included a good breakfast. With a Travel lodge just down the road its got stiff competition. Having a bar/pub like area is the only difference when deciding.
Close to Duxford Aircraft museum.
The room felt very dated, and a little tatty.
Attractive flint buildings with very comfortable accommodation around a courtyard. Open fields all around. Very clean and well-equipped en-suite room with most comfortable bed I have slept in while away from home. Good breakfast in nicely decorated and furnished restaurant. Would not hesitate to recommend or revisit.
3 miles from Melbourn village
Dirty Shower curtain, mouldy net curtains, dirty paintwork, bedcover. Cobwebs in the room and showeroom. Seriously overpriced.
Overall very good, staff could smile a bit more, the food exceeded my expectation cooker fresh, tasty and nutritious, breakfast is also cooked to order so no dry bacon or overlooked eggs like on a buffet, as a regular traveler I would recommend this hotel, there is some traffic noise as its near a main A road
The staff were friendly and polite and the meals and accomodation were first class.
Very nice rooms easy access to car Park did have people wlaking past rooms all night , very quite Good meals at a very fair price
Staff very friendly and obliging. Convenient for Cambridge Park-and-Ride and, for a last-minute booking, available.
On a busy main road though, to be fair, the rooms were at the back and so screened from traffic noise.
